A small radio station has been identified from postwar RAF vertical air photographs (CPE/Scot/364, 5023-5024, flown 25 April 1948). Noted on the photographs are 12 small masts and two buildings, one of which will almost certainly have been the transmitter/receiver block.
The radio station is depicted on the OS 1:10000 scale chart copy map (1982) and the current digital 1:2500 scale map and annotated 'radio station'.
