The first edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1875, sheet xxix) depicts three buildings at Tychat. The best preserved is aligned E-W and measures 7.9m by 3.2m over a wall 0.65 in thickness and up to 1.4m in height. All that survives of the other two buildings is a short stretch of possible walling.
