Field Visit (3 September 1997)

This oval, grass-grown burnt mound is situated on the E bank of the Culnakirk Burn. It measures 13.2m from NE to SW by 4.8m transversely and up to 0.6m in height. A shallow hollow in the SW end of the mound opens towards the burn, where there is an exposure of cracked stones, charcoal and black soil.
