There are at least three shieling-huts and a bothy on the bracken-covered banks of the Allt a' Choire Mhoir. The huts are aligned from NNE to SSW and range in size from 4.8m to 5.7m in overall length by from 3.1m to 4.2m in breadth. Two of the huts are reduced to little more than a dimple in a turf-covered mound (URQ97 484, 486), but one, standing on a slight rise to the W of the burn (URQ97 485), has turf footings 0.8m in thickness and 0.2m in height. A possible fourth hut lies a short distance NNE of the group. The bothy is set into the slope on the NW and measures 7.2m from NW to SE by 2.4m transversely within drystone walls 0.9m in thickness and 0.5m in height. The entrance is on the SW and there is a recess, measuring 1.7m in width and 1.6m in depth, towards the SE end of the NE wall (URQ97 487, NH 4037 3317).
