Archaeology Notes

NN90NW 20 929 081

Braided hollow trackways and enclosures have been recorded by oblique aerial photography immediately above Glen Eagles, about 450m SSE of West Mains farmhouse. The trackways cut across the slope, running roughly NNW and SSE, between several small rectilinear enclosures and a plantation bank, which is partially depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire 1866, sheet cxxvii). The plantation bank appears to have two phases of construction.

Information from RCAHMS (KMM) 4 February 2004.
