NLO: North Berwick [name: NT 55 85].

Possibly on map sheet NT58NW.

See also NT58NE 8031.

Dunbar, 10th Dec. The vessels reported on shore on the 8th near North Berwick are the WILLIAM CLEWES, Newham, from Shields to Pettycur, and the GLEANER [NT58NE 8031], Vannoker, from Shields to Alloa.

Source: The Marine List, LL, No. 11,770, London, Friday December 12 1851.

NMRS, MS/829/72 (no. 8729).

The location assigned to this record is essentially arbitrary.

The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), possibly suggesting that she was successfully recovered.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 19 May 2004.
