Project (1997)
The Public Monuments and Sculpture Association (http://www.pmsa.org.uk/) set up a National Recording Project in 1997 with the aim of making a survey of public monuments and sculpture in Britain ranging from medieval monuments to the most contemporary works. Information from the Edinburgh project was added to the RCAHMS database in October 2010 and again in 2012.
The PMSA (Public Monuments and Sculpture Association) Edinburgh Sculpture Project has been supported by Eastern Photocolour, Edinburgh College of Art, the Edinburgh World Heritage Trust, Historic Scotland, the Hope Scott Trust, The Old Edinburgh Club, the Pilgrim Trust, the RCAHMS, and the Scottish Archive Network.

Entrance gate to Malleny Garden, composed of an openwork metal eagle with outstretched wings.
To either side of the gate, by steps to the garden behind, is heraldic metalwork: on one side is a thistle and inscription; on the other a garter and inscription.
Malleny House and garden were purchased by Commander and Mrs Gore-Brown Henderson in 1960.

Openwork metal coat of arms of the Roseberys, forming part of a lychgate; composed of a shield held by two large lions rampant. The shield is decorated with a lion rampant with a double tail in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, and three primroses in the 1st and 4th quarters.
The fifth Earl of Rosebery bought Malleny House and garden from Sir Francis Scott, in 1882.
