(No classification or cargo specified: date of loss cited as 21 October 1874). Janet (or Janet Thomas): this vessel sank at moorings in Loch Duich. Registration: Greenock.

(Location of loss cited as N57 30.0 W4 20.0).

I G Whittaker 1998.

The map sheet assigned to this record is essentially arbitrary. Loch Duich harbour cannot be identified from the available map evidence, and the term probably applies to the loch as a whole.

The citation of this loss by Whittaker within his record of losses on the E side of Scotland is anomalous.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 5 April 2004.
