The location of Gossaborough or Gossabrough cannot be established from rge available map evidence. The Burn of Gossawater [name centred HU 505 999] is only noted inland but enters Basta Voe at its head [HU 511 678] near Sellafirth [name: HU 520 979].

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 6 March 2003.

The map sheet assigned to this record is essentially tentative. Per contra the above, Gossabrough [name centred HU 527 832] lies inland, but close to the E shore of Yell.

The vessel presumably stranded.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 6 September 2007.
