'A cultivated piece of ground known to be the site of an ancient Romish chapel belonging to about the twelfth or thirteenth century. ... It is not considered improbable that there was a burial ground in connection with this chapel at one time.

Name Book 1878

There is now no trace of this chapel or any associated burial-ground although the site is still known locally.
