OS 1:10,000 map, (1976)

This cairn measures 11 by 8 metres and is 1.7 metres in height. It consists of smallish stones and has recently been used as a dump for stones cleared from surrounding fields.

Activities

Field Visit (10 July 1943)

On the crest of a low ridge behind (WNW of) the church (cathedral), between two parcels of cultivated land, is an elongated pile of small stones, many rounded, about 33ft E and W by 26ft N and S, rising 4ft or 5ft from a dense growth of nettles.

Field Visit (May 1969)

NM 859 435. This cairn stands on a spine of rock 182 m W of the cathedral (No. 267), at a height of about 60 m OD. Measuring 11m by 8 m and 1'7 m in height, it is composed of smallish stones and has recently been used as a dump for stones cleared from the surrounding fields.
