NM55NE 2 centred on 554 578

(NM 553 578) Carraig. Remains of 10 houses. Though none are shown in 1770, 9-10 buildings appear here on an 1836 plan. Dates of early occupation unknown; cleared about 1843. Remains of another house at NM 557 572.

A township comprising six unroofed buildings, one enclosure of six compartments, some of which may also be unroofed buildings, and what may be two phases of head-dyke, one length of which is shared to the SW with another township (NM55NW 1), is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire 1875, sheet xxxix). Eight unroofed buildings, three enclosures and the head-dyke are shown the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).
