OS 6" map, Shetland, 2nd ed., (1903)
HU 167 595. A heel-shaped cairn, known as the 'Watch Tower' (RCAHMS 1946), built on the flat-topped summit of the Hill of Fielie. The length of the cairn from the facade to the back is about 32 feet, the greatest breadth is about 36 feet, while the height is now reduced to 3 feet. It is overgrown with turf through which there project numerous stones; cairn material is spread to the east, and into the forecourt area.
There is no sign of the passage, and the centre of the cairn, where the lower courses of a chamber many exist, is occupied by a modern cairn.
