(NM 1713 5300) Carn a' Bhraighe (NR)

OS 6"map, Argyllshire, 2nd ed., (1900)

This hollow stone building may prove to have been a chambered cairn.

E Beveridge 1903.

Carn a' Bhraighe, a cairn measuring 11.5 m in diameter and about 2 m in height. Kerb-stones are visible in the N and E and one or two others can be seen elsewhere around the perimeter. There is no suggestion of a chamber.

Visited by OS (R L) 1 July 1972.

Cairn, Carn a' Bhraighe: This cairn, situated near the summit of Ceann Fasachd, has dimensions as given by OS field surveyor. Built of large stones, it has been severely disturbed by the construction of a sheep-pen, but some kerb-stones, as noted by OS field surveyor, are still visible.

RCAHMS 1980, visited 1974.

NM 1713 5302 The tumbled remains of a dun occupy the end of a steep ridge, 200m N of Acarsaid Fhalaich. The remains are a circular mass of large, angular stones, which stands 1.2m in maximum height and 17m in diameter. A modern shooting blind has been built into the centre.
