Activities

Publication Account (1996)

The Musselburgh Arms is the oldest surviving inn in Musselburgh. Still retaining much of its late eighteenth-century character, it served not only as a hostelry for travellers, but also in the nineteenth century as the dining premises for the Royal Bodyguard after the traditional annual archery competition for the Musselburgh Silver Arrow.

Information from ‘Historic Musselburgh: The Archaeological Implications of Development’ (1996).
