Archaeology Notes

Reference (March 2013)

Built in 1885, self-consciously rustic and originally thatched. Appears in a photograph by George Washington Wilson ca. 1893 (NMRS BU/645). It is indicative of a 'pastoral' rather than 'parkland' aesthetic for Castle Parks in the 1880s.
