Publication Account (2009)

Only two domestic buildings from this period still stand in High Street, probably dating to the seventeenth or eighteenth centuries, although some have argued that they could date from the early nineteenth century. These are Westermains farm buildings on West High Street (listed Category B, figs 7 & 29.12) and the close at no. 18 West High Street (listed Categories B and ‘C(S)’, fig 29.13).

Information from ‘The Scottish Burgh Survey, Historic Kilsyth: Archaeology and Development’ (2009).
