(NS 0432 7358). The control centre for the static minefield in the Kyles of Bute is situated in an enclosure to the E of the road that runs S from Colintraive. The building has a superficial resemblance to a searchlight house has now been converted to a holiday cottage. The mines in the minefield were ddeliberately exploded after 1945.
