Archaeology Notes

NT08SE 41.12 0883 8325

A possible pillbox has been noted from post-war RAF vertical air photographs (106G/Scot/UK 10, 7037-8, flown 15 April 1946) within the arc of trees formed by Windylaw Strip at Windylaw Head.

Information from RCAHMS (DE), Janaury 2002

Nothing was visible at this location on the date of visit (30 May 2004), of this possible pillbox, apart from a large clump of nettles.

Information via letter from Mr G Wilkie to RCAHMS, 16 August 2004.
