A cairn of small stones in which c. 1861, a cist 'of very fine granite slabs' containing human bones was discovered. The cist was removed Ordnance Survey Name Book (ONB 1868). The remains were described in 1902 as 'hardly recognisable'.

Name Book 1868; F R Coles 1903.

Fedderat Cairn, situated at the edge of a false crest, is a heavily mutilated, turf-covered cairn, c. 12.0m in diameter and c. 0.6m high.

Resurveyed at 1:2500.

Visited by OS (R L) 11 April 1972.
