There is a photograph and description of a modern 8-pointed star sundial at Montgreen House in Stevenson, W B, 'Sundials of Six Scottish Counties' (reprinted from the Transactions of the Glasgow Archaeological Society, Vol IX, Part IV, 1934). There was no sundial when Dr Andrew Somerville visited Montgreen in 1984 (MS 5741/4/9).
