Situated at 37 Craigton Road. Marked 8 ABD. A cup-marked boundary stone (noted in 1698) lies beside it.

D B Gunn 192; HBD 1965.

This Freedom march boundary stone has been set into a wall at the edge of the pavement on the S side of Craigton Road, and only its N face is now visible. This measures 0.3m in breadth by 0.35m in height, with a bevelled top bearing the incised letters ABD, set below the number 8. Both the NW corner and the top of the NE corner of the granite block have been damaged. The boulder bearing a single large cupmark, which was noted here in 1698, is no longer visible.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS), 24 February 1997.
