The prominent rocky headland of Scurdie Ness is also known as Montrose Ness or Montroseness. It forms the S side of the entrance to the approach to Montrose Harbour (NO75NW 44.00).

Scurdie Ness (Montroseness) Lighthouse (NO75NW 48) is at NO 73322 56758.
