Situated on the N side of the road leading to the farm of Westerton of Auchmill and at the bend N of Marchburn Infant School. Marked 47 ABD. This stone had no counterpart in 1698.

D B Gunn (ed.) 1929; HBD List 1965.

(Formerly entered at cited location NJ c. 901 087: location amended to NJ 9002 0887). This granite boundary is situated in an alleyway immediately W of number 17, Howes Drive. The style of the stone suggests that it is a relatively recent replacement of the late-18th-/early-19th-century marker that formerly stood here. Rectangular in section, the stone measures 0.3m in breadth by 0.15m in thickness and 0.72m in height. The top of the E face is bevelled and bears the incised letters ABD below the number 47.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS, ARG), 28 July 2003.
