Plantation dykes, enclosing a large area of N to NNW-facing ground overlooking Loch Sunart, were recorded during a pre-afforestation survey of Rahoy Estate. The west side of the plantation is defined by the head-dyke of settlement at Ardchanna (NM65NW 10) running from the shore at NM 6279 5840 to the Allt Ard Channa burn at NM c.6281 5794. The burn defines the S side of the plantation for a short while to NM 6307 5783 from where a second plantation dyke extends off to the north and then east. At NM c.6395 5797, the dyke turns northward again, and following an unnamed burn (identified as Altchoillich in the Argyll Estate Instructions (Cregeen 1965)) drops down to Loch Sunart at NM 6417 5875.
