An extensive cairn of stones was removed from here about 50 years ago (c.1818). At the bottom of the cairn a number of cists were found, together with evidence of considerable cremations. Two cists are still to be seen, one of which measures about 7ft by 3ft, and is lying due east and west. The other is about 4ft square, and both have evidently been opened, and their contents removed.
