(HT 9585 4044) Cairn (NR)

OS 6" map, Shetland, 2nd ed., (1900)

A much dilapidated cairn, largely composed of huge blocks of stone. It has no special features and even its outline cannot now be traced in full.

RCAHMS 1946 visited 1930

The remains of a cairn generally as described by RCAHMS. The remains have been further obscured by stone clearance from the neighbouring fields and the erection of a small plantie crub on the site.

Visited by OS (W D J) 5 June 1968.
