Field Visit (14 June 2010)
A planticrub, a possible cairn that partly underlies it and an enclosure which they both stand within are situated on the summit of a prominent rise in undulating moorland. Trapezoidal on plan, the planticrub measures about 5.4m from NNW to SSE by up to 4.5m transversely over a drystone rubble wall standing 1.7m high. Immediately to its E is an arcing setting of eight boulders which may represent the SE edge of a cairn measuring between 6m and 8m in diameter, the W side of which is overlain by the planticrub. The enclosure, which is defined by a spread of rubble up to about 3m in thickness and 0.5m in height, is probably roughly oval on plan, the wall being traceable either as a bare spread of stones or as a grass-grown feature on the N, W and S. Its line, however, is difficult to trace on the E.
