HY22SW 11 2373 2065.

(HY 2373 2065) Stone Cist, Human Remains & Battle Axe found AD 1871 (NAT)

O.S.6"map, Orkney, 2nd ed.,(1903).

A cist, 7 ft long by 3 1/2 ft by 3 ft deep, containing human remains and a stone axe, was found by David Garson of Huan in 1871. Both the cist and the axe were made of a stone resembling marble.

Name Book 1880.

The site is on a knoll.

RCAHMS 1946.

The site falls in a pasture field in which there is no sign of a knoll. No further information.
