(NJ 7838 1718) Flint Arrow Heads found AD 1821 (NAT)

OS 6" map, (1958)

'About the year 1821 a herd-boy digging about the sand, at this place, found as many flint arrowheads as filled his cap... It is not known in what manner they were disposed of'.

Name Book 1864-7.

No local knowledge was found regarding these finds, nor is there any significant surface feature in the area.

Visited by OS (RD) 10 March 1964.

The present whereabouts of the flint 'arrowheads' found about 1821 are not known.
