Archaeology Notes

NS67SE 76 6735 7135

This heavy anti-aircraft battery is situated just N of Netherhouses in the fork of Lindsaybeg Road and the track to Burnbrae Farm. One concrete gun-emplacement survives after the area has been recently cleared and a new house called Amberlea Grange built on the site. The site is annotated as Lindsaybeg Kennels on the current OS 1:10000 scale map (1991).
