Archaeology Notes

NJ62SE 8 c. 65 22.

Two axes of sandstone 2 3/4" by 1 3/4" (70 by 44mm) and 2 1/4" by 2" (57 by 51mm), both found at Bennachie (NJ 65 22), formed part of the collection of the late John Rae, Aberdeen, and were purchased for the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS).

Proc Soc Antiq Scot 1893.

These axes are held in the National Museum of Scotland (NMS) under accession numbers AF 399 and 400.

NMRS, MS/712/60.

There is no change to the existing record.
