This landing stage just to the W of Gogar Moor Bridge (NT17SE 41) is clearly marked on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1989), but on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Edinburghshire 1853, sheet 5), there is merely a road shown going down to the side of the canal at this point and on the OS 1:10000 raster map (ND) there is just a path heading for the canal at this location.
