Orkney Smr Note

The standing stone known as Wheebin.... evidently been brought from adjacent hillside and placed with its major axis NNW and SSE. Although it is about 12ft high there is little evidence of its having been packed at the base. Its width is 5ft at ground level and 3.25ft at 6ft higher up, from which point it tapers gradually to the top. The average thickness is about 14in. [R1] [R2]
