A couple of 'brass' armlets were found a good many years ago in the Moss of Tillychetly, on the southern boundary of the parish. Simpson (1943) describes them as similar to those found at Castle Newe (NJ31SE 3 - Romano British armlets) and says that they have now disappeared.

The Moss of Tillychetly is a small area of marsh centred NJ 575 128, otherwise no further information.
Visited by OS (RL) 17 September 1968.
Simpson states that the armlets were made by a proto-Pictish tribe in the period AD 50-150.

Two massive 'brass' armlets (presumably a pair) are said to have been 'dug up in a moss', but are now lost. Their workmanship was described as 'rather neat'. They were apparently of 'oval' form with longitudinal fluting, and measuried about 10cm in diameter by about 4.4cm in breadth on the side.

Name cited as Little Lynturk.
