Archaeology Notes

NJ43SE 2 c. 475 309.

A cup-marked stone lying beside the farmhouse of Mytice (NJ43SE 13: 475 309) was found before 1918 by Mr William Hardy (nephew of a former tenant of Mytice) in a stone dyke on the farm of Finglennie (NJ43SE 12: 456 305). It probably stood near the dyke and was removed to it when the land was cleared of stones.

J Ritchie 1918.

This cup-marked stone has been removed and there is no information about it locally.

Visited by OS (NKB) 9 October 1967.

There is no change to the existing record.

Information from RCAHMS (JRS), 29 August 1999.
