Kelmscott, 110 Springkell Avenue, 1902, John Nisbet

Scots Baronial and Queen Anne features in Arts & Crafts villa, with curved bay window, swept eaves and steep conical roof. Red ashlar ground floor, white render over and red roof tiles. Original interior including overmantle tapestry, Ann MacBeth and stained glass, Oscar Paterson. The client was J A Mactaggart, who employed Nisbet to design tenements at Hyndland and elsewhere in Glasgow.
