Cardell Halls, 801-805 Govan Road, 2-4 Burleigh Street, 1894

Chunky Scots Baronial gusset building, with broken pediment at Govan Road and strapwork to Burleigh Street. Sculpted cat on cornice at east front. Built as a Temperance Headquarters, it is now a pub!

Built in 1894, the ground floor housed a pub, now Brechin’s Bar, while the Halls served as a headquarters of the temperance movement.
