This radio or transmitting station is situated to the NE of Thrumster, immediately N of Graigmillan farmsteading (ND34NW 34). Buildings are of brick and concrete. The station is still in use as a Radio Station.

This Radio Station formed part of 'Boxer', which was a microwaved radar data linking system active in the 1950s. The station was involved in passing data onwards from the Radar Station at Saxa Vord in Shetland (HP61NW 6).
