Archaeology Notes

HY21SE 2 c. 28 11.

An oblong block which bears on one face two twig-runes was found near the south shore of the Loch of Stenness and is preserved in the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS, IB 218). The dimensions of the block are 12 1/2 ins long by 6 ins wide and 7 ins thick.
