This oval stell is located in a secluded gully on the S bank of the Tinnis Burn. It is stone built with a turf coping and measures 8.7m by 7.4m within a wall 1m high. On a ledge directly across the burn there is a possible hut, now reduced to a scatter of stones. The stell is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Roxburghshire 1863, sheet xliv).
