In a grassy patch on the W bank of Thief's Sike, adjacent to Black Bogs, there are a turf building, an enclosure and a knocking stone. The building is aligned NNW and SSE and measures about 9m by 3m within turf banks 1.5m thickness and up to 0.3m in height. There is a hollow in the floor immediately inside the entrance, which may indicate the presence of a drain. The knocking stone, which lies inside the hut, has a mortar measuring 220mm in diameter by 135mm in depth. There is a midden heap outside the entrance and a turf enclosure a short distance to the NW.
