(NJ 154 571) The 'lands and Barony of Pluscarden with Castle and Manor place thereof' are mentioned in a marriage charter of 1702. This is the only reference known to the author which could apply to Castle Hill.

There is a local tradition that a castle stood on Castle Hill, but nothing is known of it nor are there any remains.

There is no trace and no local knowledge of a castle on Castle Hill.
