Accessing Scotland's Past Project

In the 1960s an Ordnance Survey field survey team recorded that a number of finds recovered from the lands of Mains of Inverourie farm were held in the possession of the farmer. The finds included examples of a variety of domestic utensils and implements, including querns for grinding corn, pot-lids, and a spindle-whorl, which would have been used to weigh the end of a spindle used to spin yarn or thread. The current whereabouts of these objects is unknown.
