Archaeology Notes

NT24SE 106 2505 4025

A WWII road block is situated on the southern approaches to the Tweed Bridge (NT24SE 3) on the E side of the road. It has been demolished, but it is still possible to see the marks in the road where the slots for the road block were situated, consisting of small square marks about 1ft sq.

J Guy 1999; NMRS MS 810/8, 13

The road at this point has been resurfaced and it would appear that these marks are now covered.

Visited by D Easton, November 2002.
