Note
A farmstead annotated 'Ruin', comprising one unroofed building attached to an enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Forfarshire 1865, sheet xxiii). With the creation of Blackwater reservoir the location of the farmstead lies below the level of the water shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1971).
