Architecture Notes

The remains of Handley-Page Halifax HR792 of 58 (Coastal Command) Squadron which belly landed at Stornoway Airport on 13 January 1945 and was subsequently scrapped. The fuselage mid-section was used as a chicken-house for some forty years at the above NGR before being removed to the Yorkshire Air Museum, Elvington to form part of their restored Halifax which features on the Museum web site.
