OS 6" map, Inverness-shire, 2nd ed., (1903)

A stone cairn which is entire and has not been opened.

Name Book 1871.

The heather-cover remains of a cairn, robbed almost to ground level, situated on the edge of a wide natural terrace. It measures c. 11.5m in diameter and is composed of small rubble stones.

Visited by OS (N K B) 14 November 1966.

This thoroughly robbed cairn, at NH 9411 1434, survives as a rim of debris c. 2.0m wide, indicating a diameter of 12.5m. The centre has been removed to its base but there is no trace of a cist. OS 6" map, 1st ed. and 1:10,000 (1973) position incorrect.

Resurveyed at 1:10,000 scale.

Visited by OS (A A) 18 February 1974.

This cairn, which measures over 12.5m in diameter, was noted during a pre-afforestation survey at Craig Pityoulish and Craiggowrie.
