Craigside House, formerly 'Dumbie House is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Edinburghshire 1885, ii). On both James Kirkwood's new plan of the City of Edinburgh (1821) John Wood's 1820 Plan of the City of Edinburgh the building is labelled 'Dumbie House'.
