A linear cropmark has been recorded by aerial photography 600m SSE of Drem. This is depicted as a field boundary on the 1st edition OS 6-inch map (Haddingtonshire, 1865, sheet v) which continues as a zigzag cropmark in a southerly direction, and is visible in the SW corner of a field to the SW of Newmains farmsteading (NT 514 784).

Information from RCAHMS (JH) 18 May 1998

An irregular linear cropmark has been identified from aerial photographs (RCAHMSAP 1995) in a field immediately to the W of Newmains farmsteading. It is visible from NT 5144 7842 to approximately NT 514 790, running in an N-S direction, and has previously been identified as a field boundary. A second linear cropmark appears to run for about 260m from NT 5158 7844 in a NNE direction until it intersects the other linear feature.

Information from RCAHMS (KB) 12 March 1999
